Clinical Topics

The AOM develops resources for midwives on a variety of clinical topics using a range of processes:

• Clinical practice guidelines are developed through a distinct and evidence-based process.
• Client handouts are developed by our knowledge translation specialists who work with midwives and committees, such as the CPG Committee, CPG Work Groups and the Choice of Birthplace Expert Advisory Panel.
• Tip sheets and similar resources are often created with the support of the relevant AOM committees, e.g. Quality, Insurance & Risk Management Committee.
• Webinar topics and speakers are sourced by AOM content developers and feature content from midwives and subject matter experts.
