AOM Applauds Safe Access to Abortion Services Act

On Feb. 1, 2018, the Safe Access to Abortion Services Act came into effect. This law protects facilities that offer abortion services, as well as the homes and offices of health professionals and staff who provide these services. Safe access zones prohibit activity, including protesting, that may intimidate or interfere with individuals accessing abortion services. The AOM is proud to have advocated for the passing of this act, and will continue to support reproductive choice.
